We had a wonderful week-end with all the family. Spent all day and all night Friday sneezing and having a lovely time with my allergies!! Also got to spend some quality time with the sister and great-niece, and some of the grandkids. Saturday was a rainy, nasty day, so we stayed inside and visited. In the afternoon, all the family went bowling for our annual March birthday party....all 18 of us! That was a hoot since none of us can bowl worth a darn. Then we went back to the house, had pizza and birthday cake & ice cream! It was a day to remember!!
On Sunday, the twins were baptized. It was a wonderful service and most of us were in attendance. Then we had lunch at the house and then everyone went home. Oh......silence......where had you been?? I stayed overnight, then brought the grandson back to spend spring break with us. We will have a fun week.....but what will we do?

Going in Circles
Ever wonder what people that retire do all day. Let me tell you.....so far I've done nothing but go in circles. I want to do things, but seems like I don't get them done.
I retired in January after working for 31 years at the same job. I've spent my time since then going on two short trips, babysitting grandkids, educating my replacement, and wasting time on the Internet. There's my problem....the Internet. Before it came along, it was reading. Now I don't even do that so much. So now, I'm wasting even more time by posting a blog on the Internet. Heaven help me to become productive in my older age!!
What do I do on the Internet? Every morning I check my e-mail, then I read the Wichita Eagle in short form, then I stalk Facebook. And then I proceed to check it periodically throughout the day. I also started playing Bejeweled on FB. That was a BIG mistake. I have given that up for Lent, so that helps a little.
So, I will try to keep a little diary of what retired people do with their lives with this blog. Today I will prepare to go out of town for the week-end to celebrate 3 of the grandkids birthdays. I will also visit with my sister and her grandbaby who she gets the privilege of watching for a week. We can share grandma stories!
I guess I better start that first lap of the circle for today!
